Special Tasting ($20)
Sat: 1-4 PM, March 22nd
Pinot Noir Taste-off
Tasting includes Burgundy’s Savigny-les-Beaune, where Pinot balances red fruit purity with earthy undertones and minerality, before diving into the more structured, complex expressions from Nuits-Saint-Georges with its darker fruit profile and pronounced minerality. Australia’s Great Western region in Victoria, where cool-climate Pinot exhibits distinctive eucalyptus notes and bright acidity rarely found elsewhere. Sonoma Coast’s maritime-influenced example showcases California sunshine tempered by coastal fog, a wine with ripe fruit balanced by savory umami characteristics. And Oregon’s Chehalem Mountains complete this global exploration with it’s delicate balance of old-world restraint and new-world fruit purity, displaying distinctive volcanic soil influence.
